Recipe-World's Greatest Steak Marinade
Misc.ADVERTISEMENT
Brenda,
I've been making this marinade since 1983. My husband won't let me try any other one because this is soooo gooood!!! I got it off the radio here in So. California (the KNX Food News Hour-with Jackie Olden-no longer on the air). Here goes.
World's Greatest Sreak Marinade
3/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dry mustard (I use Coleman's)
1 teaspoon coarse grind pepper
1/4 cup dry parsley flakes (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
2 cloves garlic, minced (I always use 4 or 5-we like lots of garlic)
1/4 cup lemon juice
Combine all ingredients in a jar. Marinate the London Broil for 3 to 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Good with Top Sirloin and definitely London Broil. (Here in So. California, a London Broil in really a thick top sirloin, but I do realize that there are different cuts around the country that are called London Broil and this recipe would work great no matter what.)
My husband grills it on a hot fire 10 minutes per side. Then let it stand for 10 minutes or so and slice thinly against the grain.
Hope you like it!!!
Karol
