Staining Wooden Salad Bowl

Misc.

I've been thinking about your desire to darken your wooden bowl. Although I've never done this "on purpose," it will probably work. Since tea has been used as a natural dye for years, steep some very strong tea in a large pot/bowl/etc. Submerge your wooden bowl into the tea until the desired color is attained. I wouldn't leave the bowl in the pot for more than about an hour at a time. If you want a darker shade, I'd let the bowl dry completely and then repeat the process until the desired shade is attained. It's worth a try!
