Tips: Salt Mill

may i recommend a salt mill? they work on the same principle as peppermills, but have plastic mechanisms (don't use a peppermill for salt as the salt can corrode the metal mechanisms). they are fairly inexpensive and we've found that we use less salt with the mill---the "shaved" salt incorporates into food faster (to visualize, think a flat "shingle" vs a cube "rock"). you can purchase sea salt or kosher salt in bulk (much cheaper as well!).
