Ukrainan peasant bread

Misc.
I am looking for a recipe that my grandmother made for everyday bread. It had around 7 or 8 eggs, it was yellow, sweet and heavy. It was baked in round loaves (no bread pans). She came from Czechoslavian/Russian border. It would have been a peasant bread. My dad's family ate it every day. I remember that it needed butter on it or else it was dry. It was great with ham.

thanks
