Well, I am going to give this a go for sure, Gina!

I tried to make blackberry jam, but it came out more like a sauce, but wow! is the flavour intense! Perfect for this, thanks!

I awoke this morning with very sore thumbs...yesterday was month-end at work (stuffing invoices all the live-long day), and then when I came home I, along with the kids, and even one of their girlfriends, peeled apples to make sauce. We went picking the other day; the cider (juice) has already been pasteurised and canned, and we have 1 gallon of applesauce made so far. The kids were quite impressed with themselves when I told them it was over a gallon thus far!

Many apples to go, but this morning I will be canning the sauce we made yesterday evening.

Just a simple dinner tonight of parmesan garlic bread (in the breadmaker now), and vegetable soup I will load into the slow cooker before I go to work. Night school tonight, so it all needs to be ready shortly after I get home.

Have a great one...better get my canning underway now!

Cheers!

Carolyn!

p.s. will also pull some chops out of the freezer to try with your blackberry preserves for tomorrow!
