Recipe: Crispy Rice Bars

Misc.
Dear Marilyn,
I came across this in one of my Jr League cookbooks. Hope it helps.

Crispy Rice Bars

1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups crisp rice cereal
6 oz. butterscotch chips
6 oz. chocolate chips

Melt corn syrup and sugar together is saucepan, over low heat, until boiling. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and rice cereal. Spread into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Melt both packages of chips together in a pan over low heat. Spread this mixture on top of the cereal mixture. When icing cools, cut into bars.
