Recipe: Ice Cream Made with Pudding

If you have an ice cream maker that produces only 1 or 1 1/2 quarts, you'll need to quarter this recipe.

JEANNE'S ICE CREAM
(made with pudding)
Makes 1 gallon

2 quarts half and half
2 cups sugar
8 ounces frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
4 eggs (pasteurized)
2 (4-serving-size) boxes INSTANT pudding (whatever flavor you choose)

Mix all together with mixer; pour into a 4-6 quart ice cream freezer, as directed. (In an ice cream maker that uses salt, I use 2 bags of ice and 1 container of table salt.*)

Let freezer run about 20-30 minutes OR put into containers and freeze in your freezer until set; stirring occasionally.

*If using an electric ice cream maker, follow steps that came with your appliance.
