ISO: sauerkraut casserole with hot dogs

My mom used to make a casserole of sauerkraut topped with tomato sauce, brown sugar and pepper, and with cut up hot dogs on top. It was simple and delicious! I think that's all that was in it, but I don't know the amounts. Has anyone come across a recipe like this?
