Recipe: Slow Cooker Herbed Chicken

SLOW COOKER HERBED CHICKEN

1 Reynolds Slow Cooker Liner
3 to 4 pound whole chicken
1 teaspoon each dried basil and seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon each pepper and garlic powder
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Open slow cooker liner and place it inside a 5- to 6 1/2 -quart slow cooker bowl. Fit liner snugly against the bottom and sides of bowl; pull top of liner over rim of bowl.

Place chicken in slow cooker liner.

Mix seasonings; sprinkle 1 teaspoon mixture into chicken cavity. Sprinkle remaining seasonings over chicken. Drizzle with lemon juice and butter.

Place lid on slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours OR on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours or until meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of chicken thigh not touching bone reads 180 degrees F.

Carefully remove lid to allow steam to escape. Place chicken on a platter to slice and serve. Do not lift or transport Reynolds Slow Cooker liner with food inside. Cool slow cooker completely; remove liner and toss.
