60-MINUTE JAM ROLLS
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided use
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 package Flelschmann's RapidRise Yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons margarine
1 egg, at room temperature
2 tablespoons jam, any flavor
Confectioner's sugar glaze (optional)
Set aside 1 cup flour.
In large bowl, mix remaining flour; sugar, salt and yeast. Heat water, milk and margarine to 125 to 130 degrees F.
Stir into dry mixture. Mix in egg and only enough reserved flour to make soft dough. Knead 4 minutes.
Divide dough in 12 pieces. Roll each into 15-inch rope. On greased baking sheet, loosely coil ropes; cover Place large shallow pan on counter, half-fill with boiling water Place baking sheet over pan; let dough rise 20 minutes.
Make indentation in center of rolls, fill with t teaspoon jam.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes or until done Coot on wire rack. Drizzle with confectioner's sugar glaze if desired.
Makes 1 dozen rolls
