MONKEY BREAD
As "suave and debonair" (grams words) as my Grama is she called this monkey balls. (I since have learned it's monkey bread) It is very simple to make and as I said it's Grams recipe so measurements are more "that looks right". I usually do a double recipe.
butter (to grease pan)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup white granulated sugar
About 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough, defrosted and pliable
You will need a Bundt or angel food pan to cook these thoroughly. Coat pan with butter; sprinkle brown sugar on bottom of greased pan
In a separate bowl, mix white sugar and cinnamon to make a light sand colored cinnamon sugar mix.
Take the bread dough, cutting small "balls" of and roll in cinnamon-sugar mix. Place in prepared Bundt pan. Once all dough is used let rise a bit in a warm spot.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Bake for approx 25 minutes. The bread will be slightly browned and when given light pressure they will not give much.
Occasionally Gram would do little changes but over the last 30+ years this is her regular recipe. I hope you enjoy it.
