Recipe: Baby Ruth Cookies

This recipe is in today's Dallas Morning News Food Section &
sounds soooo good.

Baby Ruth Cookies
2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup ( one stick ) margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ( 2.1 ounce ) Baby Ruth candy bars, chopped

Preheat oven to 350. Generously grease cookie sheet, set aside.
Mix flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl; set aside.

In medium mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar until light and
fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture and chopped
candy until just mixed. Do not over mix. Chill at least 30 minutes.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10 - 12
minutes or until golden brown. Remove quickly and cook on wire racks.
Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
