Recipe(tried): Brownies Cockaigne - my family and friend's absolute favorites!

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
This recipe has my family's very favorite for 20 years. I am always asked to bring the brownies for every occasion! I use 3 eggs instead of 4 and add 6oz. of chocolate chips (nuts are optional, my children are divided so I usually make 2 batches, one of each). Two cautions with this recipe. First, follow it exactly, as far as mixing order, when to use the mixer, ingredient temperature, etc.; makes a huge difference in this recipe. Second, this recipe cannot be doubled! If you want to make 2 recipes, you must do them separately or you will have a totally different taste and it will be an okay brownie, but nothing special.
