Could one of these be it?

GUM DROPS
(CRANBERRY CANDY)

1 cup white granulated sugar
1 (16 oz.) can jellied cranberry sauce
3 pkgs. (3 oz. each) raspberry Jello

Combine all ingredients together over low heat, stir. Cook until bubbles and sugar is dissolved. Let stand 20 minutes stirring twice.

Pour into buttered 8x8 pan. Let stand overnight. Do not refrigerate.

Next day cut into small squares and roll in sugar. Let set out several days to firm and age. Keep covered with towel.

"YOU-NAME-IT" CANDY

1 cup applesauce
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jello (any flavor, use as is, don't add water!)
1 cup white granulated sugar

Bring applesauce to boil. Then add package of Jello and 1 cup sugar. Boil 2 minutes.

Pour into buttered cake pan (square or round) and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
