Recipe: Elly & Cheri re: Nanaimo Bars

Misc.

The recipe I found was very similar to Elly's. For the filling they creamed 1/2 cup butter. Then beat in 2 tbsp. milk and 2 tbsp. VANILLA CUSTARD OR PUDDING POWDER and 2 cups sifted icing sugar. Thin with a bit of milk if too thick. They also recommended Bird's custard powder but looks like the alternative is 2 tbsp. vanilla pud. from how I read it.
Custard powder is usually available in British or gourmet stores too. Hope this helps.
