Recipe(tried): good french onion soup
SoupsADVERTISEMENT
The secret ingredient in their French Onion Soup is A-1 steak sauce. I have tried this a number of times and it is great. Just add 1T of A-1 to your recipe. Here is a good one.
2 medium onions
2 T oil
4 T butter
3 can beef consome(not beef broth)
2 dashes of Worcestershire
salt and pepper
Cook onion slices in oil and butter until very golden.(20-30 minutes over medium low heat) Add beef consome and worcestershire and A-1 (if desired) Simmer over medium for 15 minutes. Add seasonings to taste and crostini with cheese.
Good luck, this is really easy and it is one of my husband's favorite.
