Recipe: Harrigan's Prime Rib Soup
SoupsHARRIGAN'S PRIME RIB SOUP
4 cup water
8 tsp Bovril
2 cup sour cream
2 cup chopped prime rib roast
Cook prime rib roast to desired doneness.
Pour any dripping into saucepan. Add water and Bovril. Heat.
Add sour cream and chopped prime rib roast. Heat slowly. Don't boil. Serve.
Comments: Bovril is British; it's a beef extract that can be used in recipes such as the one above or spread on toast or used to make a "beef tea". It's absolutely delicious and if you can't find it in stores, you can buy it online. Source: Food Down Under
