Recipe(tried): Harvest chives all season

Tips and Tricks - Home and Garden
Pat, you can clip chives throughout the growing season. We clip them as we need them. I do believe they are most potent before flowering however I really can't tell the difference. You can also use the flowers as for salads and such.
