ORANGE GINGER PORK CHOPS

6 lean pork chops
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 t salt
1 t ground ginger
1 large orange, peeled and sliced
Dairy sour cream

(This is a microwave dish)
Trim fat from pork chops. Place in an oblong baking dish, pour orange juice over chops, Cook covered for 10 min. Remove from microwave, turn chops over, sprinkle with salt and ginger, place an orange slice on top of each chop, Cook covered for 10 min. or until chops are tender. remove from microwave, top each chop with a dollop of sour cream. Cover & let stand 5 min. before serving

I would imagine it could be baked in a regular oven as well.

OYSTERETTE SNACKS

2 pkg. oysterette crackers
1 tsp. dill weed, crushed
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch salad
dressing seasoning
1/2 cup salad oil

Combine all ingredients in a covered bowl and shake gently until mixed well.

OLD-FASHIONED SOUTHERN TEACAKES

21/4 cup sifted plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp.baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tablespoon milk

Sift flour, salt, & baking powder together, Cream butter, sugar,& eggs. Add vanilla, milk, & dry ingredients. Blend well. Place dough on lightly floured board, sprinkle with a little flour over dough and roll about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake in moderate 350 oven for about 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Oven Swiss Steak

1 1/2 pounds of round steak, cut 3/4 inches thick
1/4 of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of shortening
1 16 oz of tomatoes, cut up
1/2 cup of finely chopped celery
1/2 cup of finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

Cut meat into 6 serving size portions. Combine flour and salt; pound 2 tablespoons of the mixture into meat. Brown meat on both sides in hot shortening. Transfer meat into 12 x 71/2 x 2 inch baking dish. Blend remaining 2 tablespoons of flour mixture into pan drippings. Stir in undrained tomatoes, celery, carrots, and Worcestershire. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; pour over meat. Bake, covered, at 350-F until tender, about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings.

Oreo Cookie Cheesecake

Serving Size : 12

1 (20-ounce) package Regular or Reduced Fat OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided

1/3 cup FLEISCHMANN'S Original Spread, melted

3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup sugar

4 eggs

1 cup dairy sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped cream, for garnish

Fresh fruit, optional
Finely crush 30 cookies; coarsely chop 20 cookies. In bowl, combine finely crushed cookie crumbs and spread. Press on bottom and 2 inches up side of 9-inch springform pan; set aside.
In bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, beat cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Blend in eggs, sour cream and vanilla; fold in chopped cookies. Spread mixtures into prepared crust. Bake at 350 F for 60 minutes or until set.

Cool on wire rack at room temperature. Chill at least 4 hours. Halve remaining cookies; remove side of pan. To serve, garnish with whipped cream, cookie halves and fruit if desired.

Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Crackles

2 1/2 Cups flour -- unsifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup Margarine
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar -- firmly packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 bag Hershey's Kisses

Stir together first 4 ingredients; set aside. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat margarine and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in sugars until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Ad flour mixture; beat until well blended. If necessary, chill dough. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart in ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Immediately press candy kiss into the middle of the cookie.(cookie will crack around edges) Yield: 6 dozen
