ORANGE POUND CAKE
3 1/2 cups cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange Jello
1 (1 lb) box powdered sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) butter, softened
1/2 cup Crisco shortening
6 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 tsp. orange flavoring
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
FOR THE GLAZE:
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
5 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. orange flavoring
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a tube or Bundt pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and Jello together 3 times; set aside.
Cream 1 lb. powered sugar, butter and Crisco together. Add eggs. Add flour mixture alternately with 1 cup milk. Add flavorings last.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Let set for 10 minutes.
TO MAKE THE GLAZE:
Stir together the glaze ingredients. Pour glaze over hot cake.
