Recipe(tried): Party Punch Recipes

Beverages
Hi Cyndy!! How fun...brings back the memories of throwing my daughter her baby showers...sweet memories...Are you aware of the "poopy" diaper "game" using napkins and mustard? It is an easy and cute way to liven it up a little bit...If you want to know about it let me know and I will post it for you!Anyways...the first punch recipe I actually asked for at a party I attended in 1986...it was that good!

Melva's (yep her name was Melva!) Punch
SERVES 20

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup grapefruit juice (chilled)
1 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup grenadine syrup
1 qt ginger ale(chilled)

Mix sugar and water together to make a "syrup." Add grapefruit juice, orange
juice, and and grenadine syrup. Just before serving add the ginger ale.

This one has an Ice Ring that floats in it...I really impressed with this
one..he he..It is very easy but makes a beautiful punch! Even Martha Stewart
would be proud.. :-)

Ring around the Punch

Ice ring**
1 cup sugar
1 cup Lemon juice from concentrate
1 46oz can red fruit flavored punch (chilled)
1 32oz bottle club soda or ginger ale (chilled)

Prepare Ice Ring. In large punch bowl combine sugar and lemon juice, stir until
sugar dissolves. Add punch, soda, and Ice Ring.

**Ice Ring
3 cups red fruit flavored punch
1 cup lemon juice from Concentrate
Halved orange slices and marachino cherries

Combine punch and lemon juice. Pour 1/2 mixture into 5 cup ring mold; arrange
orange slices and cherries in lizuid. Freeze. Pour remaining punch mixture on
top; freeze. To unmold, quickly dip mold into warm water.

And last but not least...one with sherbert..

Rainbow Party Punch

1 (3oz) package lemon, lime, orange, raspberry or strawberry flavor gelatin
(Whatever your favorite flavor is)
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 cups boiling water
1 46oz can unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
2 cups lemon juice from concentrate
1 32oz bottle club soda or Seven up, chilled
1 pint sherbert (rainbow makes a colorful presentation)

In small saucepan, dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water; set aside. In
large punch bowl, combine pineapple juice, lemon juice, and gelatin mixture.
Chill. Just before serving, add soda and top of with scoops of sherbert on top!

The secret to a good punch is to use well chilled juices and sodas...Have a
great time!!!
