Recipe(tried): Polish sausage or Kielbasa recipe

Menus

We haven't made this one in a long time (I'll have to now!) but it was very good and tasty and easy. However it is not an 'exact amount' recipe.

Scrape some carrots and peel some onons. Cut carrots in about 2 - 3 inch pieces; quarter onions. Put in microwave (if desired) with a teeny (1 teasp or so) oil and par-cook about 2 minutes. Also pre-cook 2 to 3 potatoes (I did in micro) about half done.

Put about a teasp oil in saute pan and add carrots and onions and potatoes; saute just until lightly browned; add polish sausage and/or kielbasa (I cut into about 2 to 3 inch pieces and lightly score the skin part); and saute that about 2 minutes. Add beer. About 1/2 cup first. Bring to boil; lower heat and cook at a high simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 15 to 20 minutes. Add additional beer as, if needed. For 4 adults we usually used about 8 to 10 oz of beer. When the veggies are nicely browned and tender; up the heat a bit -- you don't want a BIG sauce -- just a sort of thick sauce. I've never measured but guess about 1/2 cup total. Add rest of beer if desired.
