POUND CAKE OR CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups of water if using chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil (do not use olive oil)
1 pkg yellow or chocolate cake mix (2-layer size)
1 (3 oz) pkg instant vanilla or chocolate pudding mix
1 teaspoon vanilla*
1 cup water if using yellow cake mix
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
Mix eggs, water, and oil with mixer.
Add cake mix (dry) and pudding mix (dry) on medium speed for 2 minutes; pour into prepared pan.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 25 minutes, invert onto serving plate and cool completely.
If I make the yellow cake recipe I dust the cake with powered sugar and tell people that it's a home made pound cake and they love it and want the recipe.
*If you like lemon, substitute the vanilla with lemon zest and make a lemon glaze to cover the cake.
This is a great hit.... I do not give out the recipe to guest because they think I cooked all day. I got this from an old grandma who I thought baked all day until I got her a little cocktailed and she gave up the recipe. All this time i thought this was an old fanshion recipe from way back when ! fooled me .
I'm sharing this with you because i have a sister that cannot cook and I would like you to show off your talent!
