This is a recipe that my son and his friends all love and appreciate when I make it :) try this one...
SPAGHETTI ALFREDO BAKE
1 lb. uncooked spaghetti
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. olive oil
3 large mushrooms, chopped
1 large onion, chopped (I use white onion)
Salt and pepper
Ground mustard
Paprika
Italian seasoning
1 jar Alfredo sauce
1 jar water
1/2 of an 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
Grated cheese (of your choice, I use sharp cheddar and mozzarella)
Cook spaghetti until aldente; drain.
Meanwhile, heat butter and olive oil in a saucepan. Add mushrooms and onion; season with salt and pepper, ground mustard, paprika and Italian seasoning to taste (just sprinkle some on the mixture). Cook until the onions start to caramelize.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine Alfredo sauce and cream cheese. Microwave until soft; stir to combine. Stir mushroom mixture into the sauce.
Put half the spaghetti into a large glass casserole dish, put half the sauce on top and sprinkle with cheese. Then put the rest of the spaghetti, sauce and cheese on top.
Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes or until the top gets golden and starts to bubble in the middle. Take out and let cool for about 10 minutes or so, so the casserole will set... ENJOY
