CHICKEN MUSHROOM ALFREDO SAUCE
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup evaporated milk
4 teaspoons chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 chicken breasts, cooked, boned, and chopped
1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup Romano or parmesan cheese
Hot cooked pasta
In a saucepan over low heat melt butter. Whisk in flour. Add milk, chicken broth, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until sauce thickens.
Add chicken and mushrooms. Heat through.
Stir in cheese. Serve at once over pasta.
Servings: 4 to 6
