Recipe(tried): Sweet Kugel Recipe for Morgan

Misc.

Hi Morgan,
Here's my Grandmother's recipe which sounds close to what you described. I hope this helps! Enjoy! MB

Sweet Kugel
1 10 ounce bag of egg noodles or pasta ribbons
2 apples, chopped
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4- 1/2 cup raisins
small jar of jelly
Cinnamon
4 eggs, beaten
Chicken fat (that would be the authentic way, but just use butter instead!)

Cook the noodles and drain. Add 1 Tbs. of butter to the noodles while they are hot and toss them. Chop apples and walnuts and add to the noodles. (amounts can be varied according to personal taste). Add a good part of a small jar of jelly: strawberry, pineapple or apricot jelly. Add lots of cinnamon; the kugel will take on its brown color when cooked. Taste and adjust the jelly or cinnamon, if necessary add more. Add eggs , Put in a greased 9X13 baking dish and bake at 375 for one hour or until done.
