Recipe: Uses for frozen veggies -

Misc.
Hi Tammy - were the tomatoes peeled or blanched? About the only thing you could use them for are sauces, spaghetti or maybe a scalloped tomato dish, or added to soups or stews, or even making homemade tomato soup. Certainly, once frozen they will not be usable for whole/fresh recipes.

The squash is very usable - you could make squash bread (like pumpkin bread, only using squash)even a pie, often I've used a canned or frozen squash if I didn't have a can of pumpkin - it's almost indistinguishable from pumpkin used in quick bread or pie recipes - or a squash souffle (using pumpkin pie spices and some eggs and cream baked in a casserole dish as a side dish for holidays) I don't have any specific recipes, but I know it would be easy to find recipes using the frozen squash, but don't know about the tomatoes.

Hope someone helps out here.
