MY TASTE BUDS ARE JUMPING FOR JOY ALREADY!

HERE'S ANOTHER RECIPE OR 2 FOR SANGRIA THAT WE'VE USED HERE IN ARIZONA. ALL ARE REALLY GOOD!

Sangria
Sangria is a well-known refreshing alcoholic drink from Spain. If you haven't heard of it, well, you have now. It's extremely easy to make, and will definitely draw comment from your guests.
Ingredients
1.Red wine
2.Valencia Oranges
3.Fresh Peaches
4.Lemon juice
5.Grapes (not white grapes)
6.Ice
Red wine
The backbone of the mix. It must be very, very, very dark wine. Preferably Italian or
Spanish.
Valencia Oranges
Easily found in most produce sections. Try to make sure they're of an orangish color.
Fresh Peaches
You can use canned peaches if you want to cut some corners, but make sure you drain the
syrup thoroughly, or it will drastically change the flavor.
Lemon Juice. Lemons would be ideal, but you're going to use just a small piece or two.
Grapes: Purple grapes. But not Concord grapes. (I don't remember what they're called).
Ice: Everything that goes into the mix must be cold. Using ice, however, will dilute the flavor,
and I don't recommend it. But for you ice-maniacs out there, I'll include it.
The Process
1.Put the ice cube tray in the freezer.
2.Put the wine in the refrigerator.
3.Peel the oranges.
4.Cut the oranges into half-inch cubes (more or less).
5.Place them in a pitcher.
6.Wash the peaches.
7.Cut the peaches into half-inch cubes (no oblate spheroids, please).
8.Place them in the pitcher with the oranges.
9.Add a couple of spoonfuls of lemon juice to the pitcher.
10.Wash the grapes.
11.Seperate the grapes from the vine and drop them in the pitcher.
12.Cover the pitcher and refrigerate it.
13.Wait
14.At time of serving, pour the chilled wine into the pitcher.
15.Serve.
How to enjoy Sangria : I think it's pretty obvious, but here's a few more tips: Don't chill the wine in the pitcher with the fruit. The fruit will... well, it's unpleasant. Let the fruit fall into the glass when you're serving. It tastes good. Don't use ice unless absolutely necessary. It waters it down.

White Wine Sangria:

Ingredients:
2 bottles dry white wine
1 tray ice cubes
1 bottle Club Soda Or Seltzer
1 Lemon
1 Orange
1 can 7-Up -- Optional
Directions:
Transfer fruit to a large clear glass pitcher.
Add 2 bottles dry white wine, club soda and 7Up if you like a sweeter sangria.
Add a tray of ice cubes and stir. Serve in wine glasses.

Sangria Punch
Ingredients:
2 Cups Red Wine
2 Cups Ginger Ale
3 oz. Frozen Pink Lemonade
1/4 Cups Brandy
1/4 Cups Triple Sec
Juice of 1 Orange
Juice of 1 Lime
Oranges, Limes, Cherries
Instructions:
Mix in a punch bowl and serve in a Collins glass.
