Recipe(tried): Window Screen Jewelry

Misc.

Children's craft - with supervision
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WINDOW SCREEN JEWELRY
Old window screen, cleaned
(or screen patches)
Neck chain
jewelry wire or jump rings
Fabric paints
(glitter, if desired)
pony beads
Use pattern to cut out jewelry pieces 1-1/2" or 2". We used stars, but you could consider hearts or diamond shapes.
Squeeze some paint on a paper plate, and brush onto cut-out screen shapes.
Sprinkle glitter on it, if desired.
Outline shapes with paint squeezed from bottle. Make sure all screen wire edges are covered in the paint. Let dry.
Make jump rings if necessary. Put ring through cut-out shape, and again through neck chain. Use pony beads for spacers.
Necklace is made.
With a shorter chain, a matching bracelet can be made.
.......................................
You can also buy earring findings in the craft store. I get the ones that you can glue a rhinestone to, and add a short chain, to which you can attach a cut-out shape with a jump ring.
