ISO: Barley lollipopts

Thanks for the recipe. I will be trying it soon. I have been working for about 2 years to perfect a barley candy recipe. Do you know where this recipe came from? I am looking for the earliest documentation of barley candy for our historical society. We are a German 1850 historic group and i want to be as authentic as possible when doing candy demonstrations.
