ISO: Barscz - From my experience....

I have traveled to Krakow and other parts of Poland on several occasions, and have now returned the the States craving barscz. What I did find was that the most common form of barscz is the clear red sort, as is listed in comment two. When the locals want to spice it up, they generally add a bit of cream, or some dumplings called pieroggi, also spelled many other ways. I had barscz all over Krakow, where it originated, and found this to be the most common sort. Cheers.
