Recipe: Copycat Chocolate Fudge Sauce

COPYCAT CHOCOLATE FUDGE SAUCE

"Great over ice cream."

1 cup sugar
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 oz chocolate chips
4 tbsp butter
2/3 cup heavy (whipping) cream
2 tsp. vanilla

In large, heavy saucepan, stir together sugar and cocoa powder. Stir in the milk and corn syrup until blended. Stirring constantly, over medium heat, bring to a boil, and boil 8 minutes. Take off heat.

Stir in chocolate and butter until melted. Gradually stir in the cream until blended.

Stirring constantly, over medium heat, bring to a boil, and boil 2 minutes. Take off heat.

Stir in vanilla. Cool.

Store in refrigerator in tightly sealed jars (I use old jam jars). Reheat in microwave when ready to use.
