ISO: Cedar Planks for Grilling Salmon?

Misc.
Williams Sonoma has cedar planks in their catalogue but they are back ordered until July 10th. Does anyone know if you can use untreated cedar such as is used for building decks that you can find at a lumber/hardware store. I thought I had heard that you could use cedar as long as the wood was untreated. Has anyone tried using cedar or cedar planks for grilling salmon? No one in this part of the world carries the planks - just a lumber store which claims the cedar is untreated (for decks). A grilling/barbeque store told me that they have been trying to find a source but have so far been unsuccessful. Suggestions are welcome. I had hoped to get these for a litlle gift for DH for Father's Day but I think I will have to give up on this idea.
