ISO: Chocolate Crisparoo (mid 1940's?)

I got an e-mail today and thought someone here could help me.

"I'm looking for a recipe probably from the mid-1940's. My mother told me about a bar cookie that my grandmother made with Hershey's cocoa and lots of pecans. She called them "Chocolate Crisparoos". If anyone is familiar with that recipe, I would appreciate hearing from you"
