ISO: freezing tomatoes

Misc.
I have an over-abundance of tomatoes (imagine that!). I am wanting to know if I could chop or run the tomatoes through my food processor and then put in freezer containers as "crushed tomatoes" for future use in sauces/soups.

Thanks in advance.
