ISO: Indian Carrots- shredded cooked with milk and sugar

Recently we visited my Mom's home where alot of Indian coworkers brought dishes for a potluck luncheon. One of the dishes served was a carrot dish. It was made from shredded carrots and I believe they said cooked with sugar and milk, or maybe coconut milk. It also had shredded coconut in it. I have searched and can't find it. Anyone know of this? Thanks!!
