ISO: Is it possible to freeze wine?

Misc.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO FREEZE WINE? SOME RECIPES CALL FOR 1/2 CUP OF WINE. I HATE TO OPEN A BOTTLE FOR THAT LITTLE AMOUNT. AND I DON'T CARE TO SUBSTITUTE INGREDIENTS IN RECIPES, ESPECIALLY THE FIRST TIME I AM TRYING IT.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
