ISO: JC Penny's Grill -- Monaco Grill Sandwiches

Misc.
When I was growing up in the early 70s, my mother used to treat me to lunch at our local JC Pennys store. They had a grilled sandwich they called Monaco Grill. Those were sooo good! My mouth waters just thinking about them but all I can remember about them is they came on grilled Rye bread of some kind always served with a pickle strip.
I would be so ever grateful if anyone has a clue on this recipe!
THX!
