ISO: Joy of Cooking Beef Stew with cloves
Misc.ADVERTISEMENT
I hope someone can help. I had an older Joy of Cooking Cookbook (probably published the late 1970s or 1980 - or before?) with my all time favorite beef stew recipe. It had cloves in it (and potatoes too?)& had an interesting name (maybe "cockaigne" in it?). It has been years & I lost the cookbook, and the recipe is not in the New JofC cookbook. Does this ring a bell with anyone? If so, can you please post a copy of that recipe? It was the only one that had cloves in it, as I recall. I have told my husband about it so much - now I need to make it again. Help?
