GLAZED HAM STEAK WITH SUMMER FRUIT RELISH

FOR THE FRUIT RELISH:
3 peaches, halved, pitted, and diced (about 2 cups)
1 (6 ounce) container fresh blackberries, halved
1 cup small fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
1⁄4 cup finely chopped red onion
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
FOR THE HAM STEAK:
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon sugar
1 (1 pound) ham steak
Lightly spray the rack of a broiler pan with nonstick spray and preheat the broiler.
TO PREPARE THE FRUIT RELISH:
Combine the peaches, blackberries, strawberries, onion, lemon juice, and mint in a serving bowl; set aside.
TO PREPARE THE HAM STEAK:
Combine the mustard and sugar in a cup; set aside.
Place the ham steak on the broiler rack and broil 4-inches from the heat 4 minutes. Turn and brush with the mustard mixture; broil until bubbly, about 4 minutes longer.
TO SERVE:
Cut the steak into 6 equal portions and serve with the relish.
Makes 6 servings
