ISO: Looking for Grandma's lost carrot candy roll recipe

I remember my grandmother making a confection roll made up of carrots (grated?), sweetened condensed milk, and nuts. I recall her boiling the carrots with the milk and maybe some other ingredients and then turning it onto a cloth covered with confectioner's sugar and nuts. My siblings were talking about this wonderful candy at Christmas and I'd like to track down this lost recipe.
