ISO: Norwegian Rommegrot Bars

i went to a church bazaar yesterday. they had many baked items. i bought a plate of "rommegrot bars". the tag also said "norwegian". they are heaven. its like a custard type thing sandwiched beteen some kind of cookie or something. i found recipes for just "rommegrot" but not in "bar form". i would love to make these! anybody have any ideas or recipe for them? thanks, barbara
