Recipe(tried): German Beef Sausage

Oh my gosh..I had always thought that my grandfather(German) who grew up in Mt.Prospect IL invented beef sausage as we always called it. I'm 50 years old and my mother who is 73 was raised on this as we were also. Odd food but delicious. Just made up a batch today using some of the venison my husband shot this fall. Turned out great. We always just fry it up and spread it on nice bakery bread and sometimes top it with a fried egg. Such memories of my and my moms childhood. I remember as a kid when my friends saw it they thought it was gross till they tried it. Yum. I emailed mom with this article. She will be be amazed as I was. thanks..small world...Debbie
