This is really a basic but I want to do this right.

I am making several crockpot recipes to take to a family Palm Sunday holiday so I can have them all done and not use up the oven.

I want to bring kielbassi and want to also do it in the crockpot.

I don't want to add flavors or anything so how would I do this?

How long would it cook?

Would I add fluids?

BTW, This is a great group and so polite.
I really enjoy you guys and your recipes.

Thanks!

Dearest Lisa: It is perfect for you to use your crockpot to cook your kielbasa. You can put them without slicing, at LOW, for 6 to 8 hours or in high for 3 to 4 hours. You can add 1/4 cup of water, wine or chicken broth, but that is not a requirement. You must carefully watch your Kielbasa so that you can turn it to the side that needs browning; then continue cooking. After cooked you can slice it. Or you can slice it at the begginning & then the cooking time will be less.

I cook my kielbasa in a regular pot with water to cover for 30-40 minutes. I usually put lots of water and use the broth to make a soup.
