Am looking for a breadmaker recipe for 12 grain wheat bread...ingredients include molasses, barley flour,cracked wheat,rye meal,oats,sunflower seeds,corn grits,flaxseed,brown rice,wheat germ,buckwheat flour,wheat bran....These are the ingredients listed on the wheat bread I buy from the store, but I would like to make some in my breadmaker.

I did a search and was unable to find a recipe with all the ingredients you listed. Here are a couple recipes with some of the ingredients you requested.

Whole Wheat Sunflower Bread

1 1/8 cups water
5 tablespoons dry buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 egg
1 1/2 cups white bread flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 tablespoons gluten
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried orange peel
1/3 cup sunflower seeds, raw unsalted
2 teaspoons dry yeast

Place ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select Basic bread cycle and start machine. Makes one
1 1/2 pound loaf.

Whole Wheat Raisin Nut Cinnamon Bread

Add ingredients in order given...

1 1/2 teaspoon Yeast
2 cups Whole Wheat flour
2 cups White bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dry Milk
2 tablespoons Butter
1 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons warm water

5 Minutes before the end of the second kneading, add the following:

1/2 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts

12 Grain Bread - 1 1/2 lb loaf

1 1/8 Cups Water
3 Tablespoons Butter
1 1/2 Tablespoons Honey
1/3 Teaspoon Salt
3/4 Cup 12- Grain Flour
2 1/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/2 Teaspoons Bread Machine Yeast

Add all ingredients to machine in order suggested by machine manufacturer. Select "Whole Wheat" bread setting; crust color as desired.

1 1/8 cups water/milk
3 Tbsp fruit concentrate
1 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup/honey
1/3 to 3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 to 3 Tbsp vital gluten (opt.)
3/4 cup 12 grain flour
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp yeast

(12 grain flour may be purchased mail order from mail order sources). Also, 7/9 grain cereal may be ground into flour - Flour Equivalent 3 cups

The recipe sound great. But I am trying to stay away from wheat. Could I use another flour such as oat flour or brown rice flour.

Good Morning. I do not think you can substitute a very weak flour for a strong flour & still handle the weight of 12 grains. Whole-wheat flour is a strong flour & can handle the weight of the ingredients. Good Luck & have a nice day young lady.
