"How long on stuffing" posted by Butterball Bill (love that name). There are some pointers on making your stuffing outside your turkey. It is a great time saver and can avoid a multitude of potential problems with bacteria.

Leeza has some great points too. Mashed potatoes made ahead heat very well in the microwave. And, how about doing your other veggies as side dishes. There are some good looking squash recipes already posted on this board and other boards.

You might want to do a search of "all message boards" for "squash" and see what you come up with.

You can put your prepared side dishes in the oven to bake while you are carving the turkey! And, serve them directly from the casserole dishes in which they were baked. Keeps them hot and cuts down on the need for serving bowls (and the dish washing afterwards).
