What a great way to wind up your school year, with the choir competition win!
One more idea - I always serve a big fruit salad at my annual 4th of July party. I start with (well-drained) canned mandarin oranges and pineapple tidbits or chunks, then add fresh blueberries, red and green grapes, and chunks of watermelon and cantaloupe. The colors are so pretty together, and it assembles quickly if you cut the melons and wash the berries ahead of time. The exact proportions aren't important, and it does not require a dressing.

Or you could serve fresh fruit along with whipped cream and slices of pound cake for dessert. Elegant and easy. Go with plain yellow cake in place of poundcake if that fits your budget better.

Another easy dessert is strawberries served with bowls of sour cream and brown sugar for dipping - if you've never tried strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar, you have a treat waiting for you!

Let us know how the party goes. Good luck and best wishes.
