Decorating purchased candle

Misc.
One of the nicest ways I have seen a candle decorated is with birchbark and a plain red ribbon. Birchbark can usually be found lying on the floor of the forest. It's often found in the form of a tube with one side split. Just trim it to fit around your candle, add a ribbon around it with a small bow, and you have a simple, artistic gpresentation. One tip I read that will keep your candle burning forever: burn it until a shallow depression forms. Place one of those candles that are used in potpourri burners in the depression and use THAT candle rather than your decorative candle (potpourri candles come in metal bases and are very small...usually you buy them by the bag of 24 for a couple of dollars).
