Freezer jam failure

Misc.
Nathalie,
I recently made two batches of Strawberry freezer jam and both batches failed to jell. I thought that maybe the sugar was not totally dissolved in the first so made sure in the second. I haven't found any answers but am going to turn it into cooked jam by simmering it until it jells the way my mother did in the olden days before we had pectin. Let me know if you try again and it works or not. There are probably many of us out here wanting to know the answers. Lela
Note: I used pectin from the same box for both batches. Could have been a bad box.
