Misc.
simply amazing. Everything sounds so good!
By the way, I have a good story to tell you about Ajvar. I had been seeing your postings regarding it & I thought it was something I would like to try. I looked around town & couldn't find any, so I thought I would order it. Meanwhile, there is a Middle Eastern bakery that recently opened up in my neigborhood. I had been meaning to go there, but had not made it there yet when the attacks happened in New York & Washington last month. I read in the paper that, following these attacks, someone had vandalized this Middle Eastern bakery & threatened the owners. They closed their bakery temporarily out of fear for their family. Last week they opened up again & had a grand opening. They had samples of their food to taste, & a few hundred people went to their bakery that day to show their support. I finally went there that day. To my surprise, it was more than a bakery, it was also a litle grocery store & they had ajvar there. I told the owners I had been looking all over for that, but I had not thought to look there because I thought they only sold bakery goods. I bought some & I like it. So far I have only had it on pita bread, but I will try cooking with it eventually. This bakery sold out all of their bakery goods that day & people were waiting in line to but things. I waited for over an hour to buy the ajvar & pita bread. I also bought some delicious little meat pies they made. I was glad to see the support these people received,as they are very nice people. I will definitely become a regular customer - they have the best pita bread I have ever tasted. Thanks for introducing me to ajvar.
